According to a study by a team of Korean scientists, you're inhaling hundreds of thousands of viruses and bacteria . . . RIGHT NOW.
The scientists set up air-collecting traps in industrial areas and forests around Seoul, South Korea, then looked at the microscopic creatures they'd collected.
They found that in every cubic meter of air, there are between 1.6 million and 40 million viruses . . . and between 860,000 and 11 million bacteria.
Every minute, you inhale about 3.5 cubic feet of air, which is about a tenth the size of a cubic meter. That means that each minute, you inhale between 160,000 and four million viruses . . . and 86,000 to 1.1 million bacteria.
It gets worse: More than HALF the viruses the scientists found were ones that have NEVER been seen before. And of the ones they COULD identify, the majority were infectious to humans, plants, or animals.
