You're Disgusting

Even though you took a long, hot shower this morning before you left your house, Men's Health reports there’s still lots of disgusting stuff covering your body.  Here are three examples:

  1.  Demodex mites.  They're microscopic parasites that live on your eyelashes.  They feed on skin cells and oil secreted by your hair follicles.  Everyone has them, and they come out at night and walk on your face.

2.  Fecal matter.  No matter how much time you spend on the paperwork, there's always a little left behind . . . about a tenth of a gram, unless you're messy.  That gets into your underpants, and when you throw them in the washing machine it spreads to the rest of your laundry.

  3.  Belly button bacteria.  Your belly button collects a lot of exotic bacteria . . . about 2,000 different species at any given time.  In fact, researchers found bacteria in people's navels that are usually found only in the polar ice caps and thermal vents.
