Winter Blues

January 24, 2012

Like everyone else, I’ve about had it with this winter, and the brutally cold weather of late.  Finding the strength to kick off the covers, get out of a warm bed, and take out the dog has been a daily battle.

But you know me.  I’m the eternal optimist, a glass is half-full kinda guy.  (Yeah, right!)  There are 2 things for which I’m profoundly grateful, and which have made the week bearable:   My remote car starter, and Boilo.  Lots and lots of Boilo.  Although, if this weather keeps up, I’m going to run out before Spring arrives.

But that’s a problem for another day.  Now would be a real good time to nuke up some Boilo.  And I will, right after I say “hi” to Rob.  He sent me a note this week, telling me that he “stumbled upon” my blog.  (I’m pretty sure everyone who reads this does so by accident.)  Rob sent me a demo of a Jersey band called Acken Road.  Kinda reminded me of John Hiatt meets the Black Crowes, with a little Clapton thrown in for good measure.  Thanks for the tunes.  Now, onto the Boilo.
