About Damn Time

     All I can say is it’s about time!  Rush is finally on the ballot to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. 

     They’ve been eligible since 1999, and their absence has been conspicuous ever since.  Also on the ballot—Deep Purple, another good call, and Procol Harem.   Heart and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts are on the ballot again, as is Donna Summer (for the 6^th Time), and Chic (for the 7^th time, but then again Chic is the “Led Zeppelin of Disco”). 

     But it’s not all Rainbows and Unicorns.  Still not nominated:  Iron Maiden, Kiss, and Motorhead.  And I’m sure I’ll think of others later.   But I think that today, I’m just going to celebrate the fact that the Rock Hall Powers-That-Be finally came correct and put Rush on the ballot.  Of course, if they don’t get in, I’m going to freak--Ah, freak out! Le freak, c'est chic! Freak out!
