State High Thespians present "The Wiz"

State High Thespians are proud to present this R&B musical based on the novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. The troupe looks forward to propelling ‘The Wiz’ into the 21st Century or 2013 with their up-coming production. When a tornado strikes Dorothy’s Kansas home, she dreams of OZ, a city not unlike New York City peopled with Coney Island entertainers, the homeless, a 9/11 hero, a war veteran, the rich and not so famous, and an overnight super star. The show features dance numbers choreographed by a senior Thespian and lots of urban funk and fun appropriate for the whole family.

The State College Area High School Thespians troupe will be closing the 2012-13 school year with their performance of the musical, THE WIZ. Performances will take place April 11 at 7pm, April12 and 13 at 8pm and April 14 at 2pm. Tickets are $8 for students and $10 for adults.
